In co-operation with Ampthill Town Council, The Greensand Country Landscape Partnership and the Heritage Lottery Fund

Join us in Ampthill Park for a day without parents.

NTC Bushcraft and Marston Vale Forest School are joining forces to provide a day without parents in Ampthill Park.

This will be a fun day learning different skills in the woods under the supervision of experienced Forest School and Bushcraft staff.

We will meet at 0900, walk to the woodland camp and get the introductions out of the way.

The theme for the day is ‘Setting Up Camp’.

We’ll be setting up various shelters using natural resources as well as some man made like tarps.

As soon as we have some shelter we’ll learn how to make and maintain a fire from scratch.

You’ll have your own packed lunch but the final part of setting up camps will be cooking some treats over your own camp fire next to your own shelter.

There will be other activities dotted around the day including team challenges and games as well as other camp building tasks.

The event will finish with a ‘leave no trace’ clean up and walk back to the car park around 4.30

Ticket prices are normally £50.
With the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund this is reduced to £30
